Welcome to the latest edition of our school bulletin! I am excited to share the latest happenings, achievements, and upcoming events that make our school such a vibrant and engaging learning community. As we navigate through the school year, I hope this bulletin serves as a valuable source of information. Keeping you connected with the heartbeat of Buckeye Elementary is what makes us a “Small School, with a BIG Heart.” Thank you for your continued support as we work together to nurture and inspire all of the Bobcats.

Good morning Buckeye Families,
We had a great week back at Buckeye. We only have 10 more school days until the next break. I would love to have the kids here each and every day. For the kids that make it each day during December, they’ll be entered into a raffle and 12 kids will be selected and they’ll each get a bag of Nibblers popcorn and a mystery gift card.
If you pick up at the church parking lot, you need to stay in the line and not create a second lane to exit. It’s not safe for the families that are crossing.
Please mark your calendars for annual Holiday Drive Thru at Buckeye Elementary. This fun family event will take place on Dec. 13 from 6:00-8:00 PM. More details to come.
PAWS ART CHALLENGE:
During the month of December, we will have an art contest that centers on our four school expectations: Problem Solve, Always Care, Work Hard, and Show Respect (PAWS). Students can pick one of these four expectations and make colorful drawing of what that means to them. It could reflect what this expectation looks like at school, at home, or in their community. Students should draw a colorful picture and include a sentence or two about the picture as well. Parents, you may assist with the writing if needed, but let the art be that of the kids.
We will select several examples from each grade level and publish them into books that will be in each classroom as well as our school’s library.
LOVE AND LOGIC PARENTING CLASS:
Parenting doesn’t come with an instruction manual, does it? That’s why we’re thrilled to bring you Love and Logic Parenting, a program designed to make parenting simpler, more enjoyable, and incredibly effective. Whether you’re looking for a refresher or exploring it for the first time, this is a wonderful opportunity to strengthen your parenting toolbox.
I’m Regina Helmer, your Buckeye District Family Liaison and Love and Logic
We’ll be meeting at Buckeye Elementary School, starting Thursday, January 23, 2025, at 6:00 PM. Check out the attached flyer for more details and registration information.
iReady Donut Challenge
We’ll do a raffle each Monday for kids that met their previous week’s iReady My Path goal. The My Path goals are 30-49 minutes a week plus two completed lessons in math. The winners will get a yummy donut from Heavenly Donuts. Kids can access their iReady accounts and My Path at home as well. Thanks for working hard Bobcats!
ATTENDANCE CHALLENGE:
In the month of December, we only have 15 days of school. If you you’re here every day during the month you’ll be entered into a raffle to win a bag of popcorn and each bag will have a mystery gift card attached to it!
