Welcome!School begins at 9:00! All students arriving on campus at 8:40 will be directed to the lunch tables. At 8:50, students may line up by room number on the blacktop. Wednesdays are still early dismissal days, so school will be dismissed at 2:15. Please have a prearranged pick-up location with your student(s). You may pick your student up by using either the drive-thru at the front of the school or the church parking lot. All students will be directed to one of these two locations upon dismissal. Please take a few minutes and complete the 2012 Parent Survey. Your input will help guide future programs and offerings at Buckeye. NewsNo news posted RecyclingPlease save your used printer cartridges and turn them in to the office for recycling. We use the money they bring to buy school supplies. Independent Study ContractsGoin’ places? Don’t forget to pack your Independent Study Contract! How it works…….. A contract is issued for the days of the planned absence. The minimum amount of time required is five consecutive school days. The parent comes to the office to sign the contract. The teacher prepares the work. The student returns the completed work when she/he returns to school. The work is evaluated by the teacher and appropriate credit is given. AttendanceDID YOU KNOW……. School funding is based on actual student attendance, NOT student enrollment. For every day (or partial day) a student is in the classroom, the school receives approximately $26.58 for that student on that day. Whenever a student is absent, no funding is received. No longer is an "excused" absence (due to illness, funeral, etc.) funded. If a student is absent FOR ANY REASON other than a completed Independent Study Contract, FUNDING IS LOST. Paper DriveBuckeye Staff requests your support during our paper drive. We would greatly appreciate donations of 8 ½ X 11 20lb weight either white or colored. Please bring your donations to the Buckeye office. Webmaster
